General information

  • Groningen is located about 20 km (12 mi) away from the coast and 40 km (25 mi) from the German border. Here, the wind blows frequently and can be intense, especially from November to March. It can also be quite rainy. Therefore, it is not crazy at all to have your umbrella with you.
  • City center of Groningen is small and walk-friendly. It is car-free with near parking places being limited and expensive (the relevant information about the parking will be added soon). Therefore, we advice you againt using a car.
  • Free internet will be available at the venue during the whole event.

 

for speakers

  • expected duration of a presentation is 15 minutes followed by 5 minutes of Q&A;
  • the tight schedule of the event does not allow longer talks, unfortunately; 
  • we encourage your active participation in Brainstorming panels on March 26th and 27th;
  • it is strongly advised to use the computer available at the location. To transfer your presentation, you can choose one of the following options:
    • send it to euromech659@gmail.com (it will be deleted after your presentation and not shared with anyone unless you request it;
    • copy on a provided USB stick.

 

for poster session

  • the poster boards are 97cm wide and 144cm tall suitable for A0 portrait or A1 landscape posters;

  • for a pitch, you can project the poster, and prepare 1-max.2 slides, or present the pitch without any slide
  • for the slides, it is strongly advised to use the computer available at the location. To transfer your presentation, you can choose one of the following options:
    • send it to euromech659@gmail.com (it will be deleted after your presentation and not shared with anyone unless you request it;
    • copy the slides to your USB stick or the one that will be available at the location.
